The post of Prime Minister of the Netherlands will be filled by Dick Schuf, who previously headed the intelligence service AIVD, the anti-terrorist agency NCTV and the immigration service IND, the NOS newspaper wrote on May 28, citing sources.
A coalition alliance of the PVV, VVD, NSC and BBB parties will nominate Dick Schuf, 67, who is currently the top Dutch security official at the Justice Ministry, the sources said.
According to NOS sources, Chouf was a member of the PvdA, but left it some time ago.
As the former director of intelligence and immigration, Schoof appears ideally suited to implement the coalition’s plans for a “strongest possible asylum policy” and combat organized crime.
It should be noted that PVV leader Geert Wilders wanted to appoint Ronald Plasterk (PvdA) as prime minister, but Plasterk was unavailable due to patent fraud allegations against him.
