The Ukrainian military can achieve its objectives without deeply striking Russia, deputy Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said May 28.
Singh is convinced that Ukrainian troops can successfully retake the territory with the help of the American weapons they have been provided. He noted that the United States is transferring many weapons to Ukraine, including artillery and air defense systems.
Previously, the US State Department confirmed that it has no intention to lift the ban on the use of US weapons by Ukrainian troops to attack Russia. This decision was made despite NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s call to allow Ukraine to carry out attacks on Russian territories.
Therefore, the United States does not want to be involved in a direct conflict with Russia, but continues to provide military assistance to Ukraine, counting on its success on the battlefield.
