Transbaikal Territory Governor Alexander Osipov promised to help a physical education teacher who works at a school in Chita and receives a salary of 8,000 rubles. On February 7, he announced this on his VKontakte page.
Osipov noted that he learned about the situation of the young physical education teacher Roman Shkolin, who teaches children and received the appropriate education for this. Now Shkolin works by profession, but is experiencing serious financial difficulties due to low wages.
“Now (Shkolin – approx. Red Spring AI) you are at a crossroads: most of the salary should be spent on rented housing. Let’s try to help”said Osipov.
The head of Transbaikalia pointed out that one of the main problems of education in the region is low salaries, social problems and housing for teachers. He stressed that the region’s authorities will not be able to help all teachers at once under the current conditions, but they will try to do it, including with the participation of funds from the federal center.
Osipov once again added that the regional authorities would try to help the teacher of Chita Shkolin. What exactly will be expressed in attendance, he did not specify himself.
