Fishermen sailing in a boat on the Pechora River in the Komi Republic were found dead, the North-Western Transport Prosecutor’s Office reported on its Telegram channel on May 28.
However, the ship on which the dead were sailing has not yet been discovered. He also continues the search for another missing fisherman.
“On May 27, 2024, a boat with fishermen was sailing on the Pechora River, after a while they stopped communicating. As a result of search and rescue activities, people without signs of life were identified; “The search for the small boat and the last victim continues.”the transport prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
It is clarified that the vessel was not registered in the registry of small vessels. It is being checked whether the deceased complied with safety regulations when operating water transport.
The Transport Prosecutor’s Office also continues to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
