Deputies of the Murmansk region have drawn up amendments to the regional law regulating the circulation of alcohol-containing products. This was announced on May 29 by the head of the Duma regional committee on budget, finance, taxes and economy, Irina Prosolenko, the SeverPost.ru news agency reports.
According to the deputy, this measure was adopted because the Arctic authorities receive a large number of complaints from northerners about the operation of alcohol stores in apartment buildings.
The modifications establish that the minimum permitted surface area of businesses must be at least 250 square meters. This rule is scheduled to come into force on September 1.
Prosolenko stressed that there are no plans to close existing points of sale: “No one is going to make business a nightmare”. The new rule will affect those who apply for a license to sell alcohol.
Recall that earlier the governor of the Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis, reported that the Murmansk region had adopted a law prohibiting establishments selling alcoholic beverages by the glass from being located closer than 50 meters to residential buildings, playgrounds and institutions. social.
