
Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay officially announced their bids to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, the president of the Argentine Football Association, Claudio Tapia, said on February 7, Prensa Latina reported.
“We must work hard to show the world that we can make the dream of all of South America come true. All the federations of the continent support the nomination. History and passion will give us the opportunity to receive guests”the official noted.
It should be noted that the event was also attended by the head of the South American Football Confederation Alejandro Domínguez, the National Secretary of Sports of Uruguay Sebastián Bausa, the Minister of Sports of Chile Alexandra Benado, the representatives of Paraguay Diego Galeano and Argentina Matías Lammens.
It is indicated that during his speech, Domínguez highlighted the merits of the organizers of the 1930 FIFA World Cup, which took place in Uruguay.
For his part, Benado noted that the Latin American region has brought out many players who are in soccer clubs around the world.
Let’s remember that the next World Cup will be held in 2026 in North America. The venue for this sporting event will be determined at the 74th Congress of the International Football Federation.
