King Felipe VI said on Tuesday that Spain is a country with an African vocation and has chosen Angola as a priority country, demonstrating confidence that the two countries will have a “promising future” together.
The Spanish monarch, who began his official visit to Angola, accompanied by Queen Letizia, the first in an African country, underlined the hospitality and love with which he was received by the Angolans and thanked for the recognition of the award presented to him, considering it is a “great honor” for me to join the Order Agostinho Neto, who also symbolically and forever brought him closer to the country.
Felipe VI noted that this visit follows the path that they started a year and a half ago and that they have traveled together, in the perspective of “cooperation, friendship and mutual understanding.”
