Deputy Chairman of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma Anton Kapralov sent an appeal to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Murat Basnukaev, asking him to return route No. 107 Yaroslavl-Rostov, canceled at the end of May. Kapralov announced this on May 29 on his Telegram channel.
The bus has been running between cities since 2019, but in 2022 the court declared its operation illegal. For two years, the authorities fought against the “illegal” minibus and, at the end of May, it finally stopped running.
Rostov residents expressed discontent with the cancellation of the route, as it was convenient and accessible. The ticket price was 140-160 rubles, which is cheaper than on other routes. In addition, the minibus made more than 10 trips a day and traveled through all districts of Rostov, allowing residents to quickly reach Yaroslavl.
The authorities of the Yaroslavl region stated that route number 107 is not in the list of intercity flights and suggested Rostov residents use other routes. However, residents find these routes less convenient and expensive.
In his appeal to the Minister of Transport, Kapralov asks to consider options to change the scheme of existing inter-municipal routes or create a new route that meets the needs of the residents of Rostov and the village of Semibratovo.
