The president of United States, Joe Bidenhas warned that if China threat to the sovereignty of his country will act as he has already done, in clear allusion to the demolition of the spy balloon Chinese aircraft that flew over US territory last week.
“I am committed to working with China on what can advance American interests and benefit the world. But make no mistake, as we made clear last week, if China threatens our sovereignty, we will act to protect our country. And so we did,” he said in his State of the Union address.
Biden has assured that in his meeting with the president of China, Xi Jinping, held in Bali last November in parallel to the G20 summit, he told him that what they should look for among themselves is “competition, no conflict“.
Ask Congress to reform the Police
On the other hand, Biden has called on the US Congress to ban the Assault rifles and carry out a reform of the Police, all with reference to the last shootings that have occurred in the country and to the police abuses against the black population.
The US president has asked the country’s legislators to save lives banning assault weapons “once and for all”, recalling that a temporary ban approved in 1994 led to a decrease in shootings for a period of ten years, as he highlighted during his speech in the State of the Union.
