The Judicial Police (JP) of the Azores sent inspectors to the Lisbon metropolitan area to arrest a 32-year-old woman who organized mule rides to flood the autonomous region with drugs. He was allegedly behind the attempt to smuggle more than 30 kilograms of drugs seized by the police.
The suspect was detained along with her 24-year-old boyfriend. Both were arrested last week with 300 grams of hashish. However, only the woman was the subject of the investigation, so she was placed in a pre-trial detention center. The comrade was simply declared a defendant.
ABOUT CM You know that the suspect was already arrested by the Azores Army last September. At the same time, evidence was collected linking her to the seizure seven months earlier of four kilograms of heroin, 10 kilograms of hashish and 850 grams of codeine. The drug courier was arrested.
Remaining free, the woman continued her criminal activities. Last December, the Azores judicial police arrested a new drug courier in Ponta Delgada. This time it was a woman who had 15 kilograms of hashish and one kilogram of cocaine.
Investigators found evidence that the captured suspect organized the trips of the two arrested mules, supplying them with drugs that were later seized.
