
False messages about the impending “mass mobilization” are spreading in the Primorye WhatsApp messenger chats, the Primorsky Krai government reports on February 8 on the official Telegram channel.
In a distributed voice message, a male voice warns of the start of a “mass mobilization” on February 24. This inside information was allegedly given to him by an employee of the administration of one of the Primorye municipalities.
“This information is false, and its dissemination faces criminal liability in the form of a fine of 700,000 to 1.5 million rubles, or imprisonment of up to several years.”Regional authorities warn.
In addition, the regional government reminded residents that all information must be verified and it is preferable to use official sources of information.
