Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the highest state awards to outstanding citizens of Russia, the Kremlin website reported on May 30.
In the Catherine Hall of the Kremlin, Putin presented the highest state awards of the Russian Federation to people who contributed to the development of Russia and brought glory to the Fatherland. They include military personnel, astronauts, cultural figures, athletes, mothers of many children, government officials, healthcare and industry workers.
Putin presented the Stars of Heroes to the soldiers who participated in the Northern Military District. Among the heroes of the Russian Federation: DPR Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Evdoty, Junior Sergeant Albert Zainullin, Senior Lieutenant Chalym Chuldum-Ool, Junior Lieutenant Anatoly Ivanov and Captain Nikolai Sokolov.
The title “Hero of Russia” was awarded to the Dagestan centenary veteran Ibrahim-Pasha Sadykov, who as a young man volunteered to go to the front, went through the entire war and did a lot to preserve the memory of the people’s feat Soviet.

The Order of Merit to the Fatherland, third degree, was awarded to former Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov.
