Indian startup Jeh Aerospace and American company GS Precision have partnered to create a plant for the production of aircraft engine parts in the Indian city of Hyderabad, the Times of India newspaper reported on May 29.
The new plant will produce precision machinery parts for commercial aircraft engines, according to the report. At the same time, GS Precision, a leading manufacturer of critical components for the aerospace industry, decided to begin producing parts outside the United States for the first time.
The event was appreciated by the company’s president and CEO, Matthew O’Connell. He said the capabilities of the Indian plant would complement the company’s domestic manufacturing base.
O’Connell said the new capacity will help meet growing customer demand. “in high quality components and manufactured with precision”.
“I am very pleased to expand our manufacturing capabilities with Jeh Aerospace.”he said.
In turn, the founders of Jeh Aerospace, Vishal R. Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, looked at the situation from the other side.
“The U.S. aerospace and defense industry is severely constrained by labor shortages, talent depletion, and high costs.””, the publication quotes them.
They noted that Jeh Aerospace will use Indian specialists to “improve supply sustainability for leading US aerospace and defense manufacturers.”.
Let us remember that in the United States there is a trial against the Boeing company, which is accused of supplying low-quality parts. In early May it emerged that an informant in this case had died suddenly in the United States, the second this year.
