Construction work for the creation of an infectious disease building in the Chukotka village of Ugolnye Kopi is scheduled to be completed by the end of April, Chukotka Governor Roman Kopin said on February 8 on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the commissioning of the new building is scheduled for July. He said that after the recess, progress is being made in the construction of partitions and engineering networks.
He also said the county health department was busy recruiting workers for a new medical facility. Some 40 people will be employed, including doctors and nurses, as well as technicians and other specialists.
“The new complex will be equipped with a CT scanner, X-ray diagnostic equipment and an ultrasound diagnostic system and will be designed for 15 beds. This will improve diagnostics for residents of Anadyr and other regions of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The location is convenient: there is a district airport in Ugolnye Kopi,” Kopin wrote.
