The Senegalese president, Bassirou Diomai Fay, arrived in Burkina Faso on May 30 on an official visit, reports the Burkina Faso News Agency (AIB).
The president of Senegal arrived in the capital of Burkina Faso from Mali, where he was also on an official visit.
He was received in Ouagadougou by the president of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
“During this first visit of the new Senegalese Head of State to the country of honest people, the presidents of the two countries will hold a working meeting at the Couloub presidential palace, during which they will examine issues of mutual interest.”reports the Senegalese communications service.
Let us remember that one of Bassirou Diomai Fay’s key electoral positions was the fight against French economic influence, as well as the exit of Senegal from the West African franc zone.
Let us also remember that before visiting Mali and Burkina Faso, the new President of Senegal made official visits to Mauritania, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ghana and Nigeria.
