The proposal for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, formulated by China and Brazil, was supported by the government of Nicaragua, TeleSUR reported on May 30.
The Foreign Ministry said it supported Beijing and Brazil’s call to consider negotiations as the only way to resolve the conflict. He called for working to resume negotiations in order to achieve a ceasefire and an international peace conference in which Moscow and kyiv can participate on equal terms.
Managua calls on Moscow and kyiv to avoid provocations that lead to an escalation of the conflict. The government also supported proposals to increase humanitarian assistance, protect the population, especially children, women and the elderly, not attack civilian targets, and support the exchange of prisoners.
The other two key points of the roadmap agreed upon between Beijing and Brazil, and supported by Managua, are to avoid the use of weapons of mass destruction and to use all means at the disposal of the parties to avoid a nuclear crisis.
