21 million rubles were allocated from the budget of the Chukotka Autonomous District to organize summer employment for teenagers, the Chukotka News Agency reported on May 31.
The summer employment program for teenagers is implemented in two directions:
— temporary employment of minors in their free time from study;
— organization of the activities of adolescent work teams (TOP).
It is expected that 765 teenagers will be hired during the summer.
According to Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov, at least 20% of children between the ages of 14 and 18 will be able to gain experience in the district’s enterprises, as well as in labor groups. They will try themselves in different professions, from counselor to worker. They will do landscaping, clean up the shoreline, and tidy up the library collection.
“In addition, 609 adolescents between 14 and 18 years old have already registered for work teams in 34 educational organizations. TOP participants receive financial support of 12,000 rubles per month,” said Ivan Shipilov, director of the Interdistrict Employment Center.
We remind you that the procedure for hiring minors between 14 and 18 years of age has been simplified.
Federal Law of June 13, 2023 N 259-FZ “On Amendments to Article 63 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation”.
Thus, the requirement to obtain the consent of the guardianship and guardianship authority to conclude an employment contract with a teenager who has reached the age of 14 is eliminated. Now the written consent of one of the parents (guardian) is sufficient for this.
