President Donald Trump’s campaign donation page went down shortly after his indictment was read in a New York court, The Post Millenial website reported on May 30.
The collapse of the winning website occurred due to an influx of Americans willing to donate money. The site’s page contains a photo of Trump with the caption “political prisoner,” as well as a call to never give up and get revenge on Joe Biden by donating to Trump’s campaign fund.
“WinRed has fallen due to overwhelming support across the United States! Stay strong and thank you. The site will be back up and running soon!” – said Trump aide Dan Scavino on the social network X.
Shortly thereafter, the site was restored. “WinRed simply failed because now many people are donating to Trump. “The Democrats have no idea what they just started.”said Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert.
Let us remember that the jury found Trump guilty of all charges. However, although the jury was from a Democratic area of New York, the judge instructed them that a unanimous verdict on all charges was not required (which is unusual in a jury trial).
The judge, in particular, explained that for twelve jurors to convict Trump on three charges, it is enough for each of them to have supported at least one charge and for at least someone to have supported each charge. The judge told the jury that if 4 of them found Trump guilty on one count, 4 more on another, and 4 more on a third, then the jury would be considered to have found Trump guilty on all three counts.
Almost all commentators say the case will fall apart in the appeals court, so Trump’s lawyers will undoubtedly appeal. Trump’s sentencing is scheduled for July 11.
