The semi-final of the military-patriotic game “Zarnitsa 2.0” was held on the territory of the Civil and Patriotic Education Center “Live in the North!”, the press service of the government of the Murmansk region reports on May 31.
18 teams of two age categories from 12 municipalities took part in the competition: Murmansk, Kola district, Severomorsk, Kovdor, Vidyaevo, Polyarny, Nikel, Apatity, Olenegorsk, Kirovsk, Monchegorsk and Kandalaksha. In total, more than 200 schoolchildren competed.
In the regional stage, group and individual tests were organized. The young fighters demonstrated knowledge of national history, combined arms literacy, drill and first aid skills, and also overcame a forced march with elements of obstacles and chemical warfare protection.
In the individual competition, surveying competitions, drone control, competitions between war correspondents, sapper engineers and squad leaders were held.
Recall that the All-Union Military Sports Game “Zarnitsa” was officially organized in the USSR in 1967 by the Central Committee of the Komsomol, the Central Council of the Pioneer Organization, the Main Political Directorate of the Soviet Army and the editorial staff. of the newspaper “Pionerskaya Pravda”, under which the main headquarters of the game was created. The goal of the game was the military-patriotic education of Soviet youth. “Zarnitsa” was part of the plan to organize initial military training in secondary educational institutions in connection with the reduction of military service from 3 to 2 years.
