US President Joe Biden today accused his predecessor Donald Trump of threatening democracy and calling into question the country’s electoral and judicial systems.
“Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy. First he questioned our electoral system. He then questioned our judicial system. And now you can stop him,” Biden wrote on Platform X, calling for donations through a “website” that classifies the Republican Tycoon as an “existential threat to the future” of not only democracy, but the nation itself.
Biden’s message followed a statement Trump made today in New York in which he launched new attacks on the judge and one of the key witnesses in his criminal trial in New York and confirmed that he would appeal the jury’s conviction.
