The construction of 48 hotels and resorts in the Krasnodar Territory attracted more than 503 billion rubles in investments to the region, the head of the Kuban, Veniamin Kondratyev, reported in the press service of the regional government on May 31.
Kondratyev said that upon completion of all current projects, by 2030 more than 34 thousand new rooms will appear in the region.
He highlighted that the tourism sector continues to be the most attractive for investment, with 134 large projects currently underway.
The governor also expressed optimism about tourism growth, pointing to an increase in the number of visitors from 18.6 million last year to the 19 million expected this year.
In addition, investors intend to invest more than 347 billion rubles in the renovation of sanatoriums and hotels in Sochi until 2026, which will expand the room capacity of the complex by 15.3 thousand beds.
