
An offense of corruption in the Rostekhnadzor regional division was revealed by employees of the Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Petrozavodsk, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karelia reports on February 8 on the official portal of Internet.
It is suspected that an employee of the Karelian Rostekhnadzor accepted a bribe in the amount of 6 million rubles. Police discovered that the official received a monetary reward through an intermediary and, in exchange, issued permits to enter the operation of electrical equipment at one of the companies in the logging industry complex.
It is noted that the suspect refused to accept permission before receiving a bribe. Investigators of the regional Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A preventive measure against the person involved has not yet been chosen, this issue is being resolved. Further investigative and operational steps are being taken to establish the circumstances and participants in the illegal activities.
Recall that the media reported that on February 7, the head of the Karelian Rostekhnadzor, Georgy Khe, was caught red-handed. It was noted that it was about receiving a bribe from the management of the Solomensky sawmill in the amount of several million rubles, and the equipment for which a permit was required should have been put into operation in the summer.
