A 22-year-old shellfish harvester who tried to rape a minor under 14 in two situations last month in Montijo has already been caught and is in preventive detention.
For what CM It was established that the facts occurred on May 27 and 29. On both days the victim was approached as she walked down the street. In the first situation, the suspect offered her money and drugs in exchange for sexual favors, but the teenager refused and tried to leave. However, the attacker grabbed her and took her to the barn, where he again insisted, offering even more money. The young woman managed to escape and reported the attack to her mother, who filed a complaint with PSP Montijo. According to the description, the suspect was identified in less than 24 hours, but disappeared.
Despite the fear, the young woman returned to her daily life. However, two days later they contacted her again. She was accompanied by a friend when the man unsuccessfully forced her into the car. The young women managed to escape and the case was again reported to the PSP, which immediately informed the Setúbal Judicial Police.
During the investigation, the suspect, who had no criminal record, was detained and eventually confessed to committing the crimes. At the first judicial interrogation in the Barreiro court, he was subjected to the most serious coercive measure: preventive detention.
