South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Monday conveyed to his Mozambican counterpart his interest in exchanging experiences in the fields of education, health and agriculture, said Filipe Nyusi, who is visiting the Asian country.
“It was a cordial meeting, the results of which were promising, as President Suk-yeol demonstrated his willingness to transfer his country’s experience to Mozambique through investment in critical areas that stimulated development, namely education, health and agriculture,” described Nyusi, in a report on on your official account on the social network Facebook.
The head of Mozambique met in Seoul with his counterpart from the Republic of Korea as part of a working visit to the country, invited to the Korea-Africa summit.
“We agreed to strengthen our cooperation for the mutual benefit of our countries and peoples,” he further said.
During this visit, which began on Sunday, the Mozambican president has already met with the administrations of South Korean giants Daewoo and Samsung.
The Korea-Africa Summit will bring together other African heads of state and government, representatives of multilateral organizations and CEOs of Korean and African companies.
The summit will take place from Tuesday to Wednesday under the theme “The future we build together: economic growth, sustainability and solidarity.”
The Mozambican head of state, who is visiting South Korea at the invitation of his colleague Yoon Suk-yeol, will also take part in the Korea-Africa business forum.
On the sidelines of the summit, the President of Mozambique, in addition to a bilateral meeting with his counterpart from the Republic of Korea, will hold meetings “with executive heads of South Korean companies and with the Mozambican community living in the Republic of Korea.” This was announced by the Mozambican Presidency.
