A man who beat his former father-in-law to avenge the alleged sexual abuse of his daughter was sentenced Wednesday to eight years and eight months in prison.
Bruno Domingos, 34, entered the first court hearing for aggression and explained that he broke down the door of his ex-father-in-law’s house and broke into the house while he was drunk, but the intention was simply to talk to the man. The killer claimed to have attacked the victim after she confessed to having raped a girl who was nine years old at the time. When he left his former father-in-law’s room, he was unconscious.
Bruno Domingos said he only learned of his former father-in-law’s death four days later, at which time he contacted a lawyer and turned himself in to the authorities.
According to the indictment, the victim died in hospital a few hours after INEM treated him at home.
