Strangled to death woman has already complained about her husband for domestic violence

A 31-year-old woman died early Wednesday morning after her 29-year-old husband attacked and strangled her at home on Rua Raul Rego in Lisbon.

The attacks took place around 3 am during an argument between the couple. The warning came two hours later, at about 5 o’clock in the morning. The victim, Soraya Alexandra, was found to be inanimate and was taken by INEM to Santa Maria Hospital in a very critical condition. As a result, the woman died from her injuries, and the hospital pronounced her dead three minutes after the arrival of the victim.

It was the couple’s neighbor who reported the alarm to the PSP after hearing a lot of screaming. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the woman unresponsive and immediately took the suspect into custody.

The man had already been accused of the crime of domestic violence in 2011, but the following year the woman refused to testify against him, and the defendant was acquitted.

The detainee and the victim have already been accused of causing bodily harm to a neighbor.
