Nigel Farage’s right-wing Conservative Reform Party in Britain has almost the same ratings as the ruling Conservative Party, a June 5 sociological survey showed, Sky News reported.
The gap between the conservative and reformist parties has narrowed to two points, according to the latest YouGov poll.
The poll results showed Labor on 40%, the Conservatives on 19%, the UK Reform Party on 17%, the Liberal Democrats on 10% and the Greens on 7%.
As a reminder, the UK general election will take place on July 4. Seats in Parliament will be contested by the two main parties – Conservative and Labor – as well as a number of smaller parties, including the Scottish National Party, the Liberal Democrats, the Green Party and the newly formed right-wing Conservative Reform Party. Its creator, Brexit architect Nigel Farage, said he intends to create a new opposition party to the country and, in the future, take control of the Conservative Party.
At the moment, some members of the Conservative Party have already switched to the Reform Party, which advocates lower taxes and strict immigration policies, and also claims that Britain’s separation from the EU must be completed.
