The effectiveness of pharmacological correction of the mineral metabolism of cosmonauts during a long-duration space flight was studied within the framework of the “Correction” experiment on the Russian segment of the ISS on June 4, the Roscosmos press service reports.
Work continued with the Progress MS-27 freighter to unload priority cargo, the press service reports. Four tanks on the ISS are filled with water from the ship’s tanks. The astronauts were subjected to individual monitoring of CO₂ levels. The experiments “Neuroimmunity”, “Interaction-2”, “Separation”, “Econ-M” and “UV Atmosphere” also continued.
Recall that the “Correction” experiment aims to determine the mechanisms of bone loss in astronauts and its severity during space flights. The objective is to describe the dynamics and determine the recovery mechanisms and the ability to predict reversibility after return to Earth.
Let us also remember that the 71st long-term Russian expedition continues on the ISS, in which Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolay Chub and Alexander Grebenkin participate.
