The fire at the Novoshakhtinsky oil products plant occurred as a result of an attack with unmanned aerial vehicles on the night of June 6, the governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, reported on his Telegram channel.
Initially, about 120 people and 15 pieces of equipment participated in extinguishing the fire. However, extinguishing the fire had to be suspended, as the kyiv regime carried out another attack on the plant.
Staff were temporarily moved to a safe distance. At that moment they began to prepare a fire train. In addition, the number of forces and means involved in the extinction increased.
Soon the firefighters resumed their work and around 3:00 (the time coincides with Moscow) the fire was located on an area of 100 square meters. Its complete liquidation occurred at 4:00 a.m.
According to preliminary information, there were no deaths or injuries. As Golubev noted, “The information is being confirmed”.
