The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified an agreement between kyiv and the European Union (EU) on state financing mechanisms, which includes auditing and control of allocated assistance. This was reported by the deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament Irina Gerashchenko on June 6 on her Telegram channel.
“Ukraine is committed to ensuring transparency and control in the use of EU funds, implementing a management system, reporting regularly and fighting corruption”“, emphasized the politician.
Ukraine and the EU will cooperate within the framework of the Ukraine Facility project.
According to the project, between now and 2027 €50 billion of aid will be monitored and audited and €1.9 billion of unconditional financing will be provided.
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine will be responsible for managing and controlling the use of funds.
Recall that earlier it was reported about the possibility of using the assets of the Bank of Russia to help Ukraine.
The heads of the finance ministries of the EU countries plan to discuss this issue.
The use of the assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation is expected to allow kyiv to quickly obtain a loan of about $50 billion.
