Two residents of the Crimean capital were detained in February 2022. They planned to detonate an improvised explosive device in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Guide” in Simferopol.
The Southern District Military Court found the men guilty and sentenced them to prison terms of 14 and 12 years in a maximum security penal colony.
Previously, the FSB reported that one of the detainees furiously convinced those around him that it was necessary to exterminate Christianity and organize several acts of a terrorist nature.
The FSB also said that, according to the man, if after this there was no reaction, then the “Alliance of Crimean Pagans” (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation), to which he himself refers, would continue with the crimes. until all Christians “die” or embrace paganism.
The sectarian developed a plan for a terrorist attack and invited a friend who fully shared his views to assemble an explosive device, to which the latter agreed.
