Cooperation in the field of tourism, employment and culture was discussed on June 6 by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, and the Acting Governor of the Kaliningrad Region, Alexey Besprozvannykh, at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, the press service of the St. Petersburg government reported on June 6 on the official Internet portal.
Beglov recalled that a Cooperation Agreement and a “road map” until 2026 were signed between the regions, mutual trade is developing and coastal transportation of goods has been established. The governor of St. Petersburg proposed to develop cooperation in the technical field, as well as in the field of employment and education, by establishing an exchange of specialists in the field of digital technologies.
“I propose to develop interaction between technology parks. The Technopolis cluster operates successfully in the Kaliningrad region. There is a similar association in our city. An educational and productive cluster has been created. “We are prepared for dialogue in this area.”– said Beglov.
Beglov also highlighted the great opportunities for the development of tourism within the framework of the Silver Collar project. He proposed, mutually, organizing presentations of the tourism potential of the regions, placing advertisements at airports and cooperating in the field of training personnel for the tourism industry.
Besprozvannykh noted that St. Petersburg is a good neighbor for the Kaliningrad region, a good and close neighbor. He proposed developing cooperation in the field of culture.
