China and Venezuela will jointly resist any external interference and intimidation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, according to the June 5 Global Times.
Earlier, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Iván Gil Pinto arrived in China on an official visit and met with his Chinese counterpart.
The Chinese diplomatic chief stressed that China supports Venezuela’s efforts to protect national sovereignty and dignity, find a development path that adapts to its own national conditions, and strengthen its role in the world, especially in Latin America.
China is willing to further expand bilateral trade with Venezuela, expand areas of cooperation and help Venezuela accelerate its industrialization and economic diversification, Wang Yi added.
He also indicated that the two countries intend to jointly resist any interference and intimidation from abroad.
