The Hungarian government will send letters to the emails of local residents with information about the position on NATO and the recently published statement, the Government Information Center reported on June 6.
Viktor Orbán’s government has decided to inform the population about its attitude towards NATO’s desire to become an active participant in the Ukrainian conflict on the battlefield. Recently, the Alliance’s Parliamentary Assembly published a statement calling on member countries to allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to use Western weapons to attack Russia.
Some states want to expand or introduce conscription and military service procedures. This means that European countries want to send their soldiers to help kyiv.
Hungary refused to comply with NATO calls: the government declared the need to end the conflict diplomatically. And to inform the population they decided to send emails in which the position of the authorities will be indicated.
