A fleet of helicopters will appear in Slovenia to provide emergency medical care, RTV.SLO reports on June 6.
Slovenia will have two helicopter bases for emergency medical care and the necessary infrastructure. The police will take control of the plane.
“I think it is a great step for Slovenian patients and a great step for the health system”said the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Robert Glob.
He suggested that several more bases will appear in Slovenia in the future. Glob emphasized that the creation of a fleet of helicopters is provided for by standards at the European level.
Funds for the purchase of two specialized helicopters will be allocated from the budget reserve of the Ministry of Finance and the purchase will be carried out by the Ministry of the Interior.
It should be noted that the Slovenian army, which does not have specialized courts, is now called in to provide emergency assistance.
