The investigation into the case of “Antoniozinho” (the nickname of 45-year-old drug trafficker Antonio Tavares Lopes) concluded that 104 packages of cocaine seized in suitcases were part of a history of drug trafficking and were seized by the judicial police on Tuesday in Oeiras.
According to DCIAP, in addition to cocaine of Dominican origin, Antoniozinho also imported Brazilian drugs through the airports and ports of Leixões and Setúbal. In information published online this Thursday, DCIAP adds that the Portuguese from Cape Verde is suspected of paying 10 thousand euros “to a third party with the aim of eliminating a competitor.”
Questioned on Wednesday and Thursday in a Lisbon court by criminal investigation judge Jorge Bernardes de Melo, “Antoniozinho” will await trial in pre-trial detention.
