The premiere of the ballet “The Shining Stone” ended the XI All-Russian Ballet Festival “Sterkh”, which took place on the stage of the State Opera and Ballet Theater of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) named after DK , on June 7, the press service of the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) reports.
In the second part of the final evening of the festival, a grand gala concert took place with the participation of prominent ballet dancers from St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Astana and Minsk.
At the Sterkh ballet festival, which took place from May 31 to June 7, the classical ballets “Swan Lake” by PI Tchaikovsky, “La Bayadère” by L. Minkus, “Spartacus” by AI Khachaturian were presented , in the staging of Yuri Grigorovich. .
Recall that the Yakutia State Opera and Ballet Theater submitted an application to participate in the federal project “Cultural Environment” of the national project “Culture”. In 2023, the theater received a federal subsidy and with this money a major renovation of the main and production buildings was carried out, as well as the replacement of old equipment with new, modern theater equipment. Festival participants rehearsed and performed virtually in the new theater in comfortable conditions.
