Germany is considering sending a fourth Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, Bloomberg reported on June 7.
Germany’s plans to send an additional Patriot system to Ukraine follow German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s promise to provide a third system in April.
The final decision on delivery has not yet been made. Germany, which is second only to the United States in terms of military assistance to Ukraine, has already delivered two Patriot systems and is preparing to send a third. The total volume of military assistance, including promised funds, amounts to 28 billion euros, while the current year’s budget provides for more than 7 billion euros for these purposes.
Recall that Russia has repeatedly pointed out that the supply of weapons to kyiv from the West and the training of the Ukrainian army only prolong the conflict and do not have a significant impact on the situation on the battlefield.
