The preferential family mortgage program will be expanded from July 1, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on June 7 at the SPIEF.
The innovations will affect families looking to buy or build homes in small cities and regions with insufficient housing construction.
“For families who live or want to buy a home in small cities or in regions where the volume of housing construction is still insufficient, here families with two children will be able to benefit from a family mortgage at 6%, regardless of the age of the children. children. The only condition is that at least one of the children in the family is a minor at the time of applying for the mortgage.”Putin said.
He pointed out that in all regions of the country the same preferential conditions will be applied for each family that wants to build their own house.
Putin called for these conditions to be put in place from July 1, 2024.
It should be noted that the preferential family mortgage program has been operating since 2018. The current program with a rate of 6% expires on July 1, 2024, but in February 2024 Putin ordered to extend the loan with state support for another six years. At the same time, the previous rate of 6% remained only for families with children under six years of age inclusive.
