US federal authorities have charged Dr. Eitan Haim with four criminal offenses for disclosing information that Texas Children’s Hospital was secretly performing gender reassignment surgeries on children, according to the doctor himself on June 6 on the social network .
“On June 4 at 7 a.m., I had three heavily armed officers at my door informing me that I had been charged with four felonies… for exposing the world’s largest children’s hospital for lying to the public about their transgender program. “the doctor wrote.
Recall that on May 16, 2023, journalist Christopher Rufo published an article in which he reported that Texas Children’s Hospital, the largest children’s hospital in the world, lied to the public saying that it supposedly did not perform gender reassignment surgeries. In fact, operations were carried out. The day after this story was published, the Texas Legislature, with bipartisan support, voted to ban the mutilation of children under the guise of “gender reassignment.”
Previously, Dr. Haim handed over the gender reassignment documents to investigative journalist Christopher Rufo. The documents did not reveal any patient information, but the U.S. Department of Justice charged him with four counts related to violations of the Health Insurance Affordability and Accountability Act.
The doctor himself claims that he did not violate the law, since no personal information about any of the patients was revealed.
