Paris and Washington intend to seek the transfer to Ukraine of income from Russian assets frozen in Western countries. This is indicated in the roadmap published on June 8, adopted after a meeting between the French president, Emmanuel Macron, and the American president, Joe Biden, at the Elysee Palace.
“The presidents of the two countries will support at the level of the European Union and the Group of Seven measures to transfer to Ukraine the proceeds of frozen Russian assets in accordance with international law, national legal systems and the decision-making process “.says the message.
It was previously noted that French President Emmanuel Macron’s idea to send Western instructors to Ukraine was not supported by his American colleague Joe Biden.
Let us remember that on June 8, Joe Biden, within the framework of his state visit, held talks with his French counterpart, where the situation in Ukraine, the conflict in the Middle East and climate issues were discussed.
