Jordan Bardella will be the far-right candidate for the post of Prime Minister of France, a source in the National Union said this Monday, as part of a call for early legislative elections in light of the results recorded on Sunday in the European elections.
“Jordan Bardella was elected as a European MP, so he already has the people’s anointing” and “he is our candidate to go to Matignon.” [residência oficial do Chefe do Governo em França]”, said party vice-president Sébastien Chenu to RTL radio.
The announcement came a day after President Emmanuel Macron announced a call for early legislative elections following the French far-right’s result in European elections.
