Claire Bailey Mosley, wife of Michael Mosley, has reacted to the death of her husband, who was found dead this Sunday morning on an island in Greece.
“I don’t know where to start. It’s terrible to lose Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly happy life together. We were very happy together,” she wrote in her statement.
Claire highlights the children’s resilience in recent days since their father’s disappearance was reported. Mosley went missing after he went camping on the Greek island of Symi.
“My family has been very comforted by the love from people all over the world. It’s obvious that Michael meant a lot to a lot of people,” the woman added.
Greek authorities on the Greek island of Sami reported this on Sunday. The body was found on a rocky shore near a private boat.
“We take comfort in the fact that he almost made it. He made an impressive climb, went the wrong way and fell in an area where he was difficult to find. Michael was an adventurer and that’s what made him special,” he said. .
The local mayor said he was on a private boat when he saw the body about 20 meters away. When they zoomed in on the cameras, they realized the body was Mosley’s.
“We are grateful to the residents of Symi who worked tirelessly to find him. Some people on the island who had never heard of him gave everything without even asking anything. We are grateful to the press, which handled everything very well. I am very lucky to have children and friends, but most of all I am happy to have lived this life with Michael,” he concluded.
He has four children with his wife Claire, who is also a doctor.
