Oriana and Emily, aged eight and four, were left orphans after their parents died just days apart after separate and harrowing battles with cancer.
Nigel Joyce died on May 31 and his wife Marjan died on June 6, according to a fundraising campaign organized for the Christchurch, New Zealand family, cited Daily mail.
Over the past two years, Nigel Joyce has been diagnosed with: malignant brain tumorand Marjan was told that she had triple negative breast cancer (more aggressive type and with a worse prognosis).
The woman had already completed radiotherapy and was told the disease had disappeared, but three weeks ago she suffered vision loss and seizures. That’s when he received the news that the cancer had spread to his brain and he died soon after.
A fundraising campaign, Give A Little, has been created to help the two girls arrange a joint funeral for their parents.
To date, more than 120 thousand dollars (111 thousand euros) have been collected.
