In Sao Paulo, Brazil, a man was arrested after he was filmed sexually assaulting his daughter, who was admitted to intensive care at the hospital due to a heart attack. This incident occurred in May and has now become public knowledge as the subject of a TV Globo report.
Footage taken by hospital staff shows the man reaching into the victim’s coat and touching various parts of her body.
Hospital nurses decided to record the moments when the 17-year-old girl was alone with her father because they realized that she felt uncomfortable in her father’s presence.
At night, in the company of her father, the patient’s vital signs changed. When it was time to change the diaper, the girl also felt uncomfortable and some redness was noticeable in the girl’s intimate area.
The medical worker also reported that the man had been observed to behave inappropriately towards his daughter on several occasions. “He fondled her breasts and undid her diaper twice. “I also saw him rubbing himself on the bed,” he says.
After the complaint was filed, an investigation began. Despite denying all crimes, tests showed that the young woman had injuries consistent with rape. On May 13, the sex offender was arrested and is currently in pre-trial detention.
