Proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the conditions for a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian conflict “no I’m serious”said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a June 15 interview with ZDF.
“Everyone knows that this proposal (by Putin) was not intended seriously, but is simply related in some way to the peace conference in Switzerland.”commented Scholz.
Recall that at a meeting with the leaders of the Russian Foreign Ministry on June 14, Putin called the withdrawal of Kiev troops from the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions a necessary condition for the start of peace negotiations. He said that with the fulfillment of these conditions hostilities would immediately cease. Putin emphasized that Russia needs Ukraine to give up its claims to NATO membership and nuclear weapons.
We also note that a conference ostensibly dedicated to a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian conflict will be held in Switzerland on June 15 and 16, but to which Russia was not invited. China and other major neutral countries also refused to participate. Thus, the format became a conference between kyiv and NATO countries.
