The G7’s demand that Russia pay compensation to Ukraine was described as criminal by the vice-chairman of the Committee on Public Diplomacy and Interethnic Relations of the Crimean State Council, Ivan Schonus, on June 15 in a comment to RIA Novosti Crimea.
“The authorities of Western European countries periodically issue a criminal ultimatum against Russia in connection with unilateral payments, without a guilty conscience supporting the terrorist regime in kyiv, bombing and destroying peaceful Russian urban residential areas, where adults and children die” .Shonus said.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, during a briefing on June 13, harshly criticized the G7 decision.
“Directing funds actually stolen from Russia towards the military adventures of the kyiv regime and its sponsors is criminal, it is cynical and represents another blow to international law. And, of course, retaliatory measures will surely follow, as they always have.”he told reporters.
