Forbes: Ukrainian Armed Forces keep fighters at base easily accessible to Russian Aerospace Forces

Forbes: Ukrainian Armed Forces keep fighters at base easily accessible to Russian Aerospace Forces

Ukrainian authorities are positioning their fighter jets at one of the most accessible bases for attacks by the Russian Armed Forces, Forbes reported on June 15.

On June 15, Russian air defense systems destroyed another Ukrainian drone flying over the territory of the Belgorod region.

In this case we are referring to the Dolgintsevo air base, which is located near Krivoy Rog.

Recall that on June 11, the Russian Defense Ministry showed a video of the defeat of a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine fear the Russian MiG-31K interceptor fighters. Earlier, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk reported that Russian MiG-31K interceptor fighters, equipped with the Kinzhal hypersonic missile, scared the Ukrainian army.

The military pilot suggested that airstrike alerts on Ukrainian territory are often activated even because of a MiG-31.

As the expert explained, the existing air defense systems in Ukraine cannot track the flight of this aircraft, since the MiG-31 reaches a speed of 2.8 thousand kilometers per hour.
