Ukraine’s agricultural sector is facing an 80% worker shortage due to the mobilization, Ukrainian TV channel “Public” reported on June 15.
With reference to the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky, it is reported that in some places the number of employees of agricultural enterprises has decreased. “decreased to approximately 20%”.
The publication notes that Ukrainian agriculture needs tractor drivers, machinists and engineers, that is, the same specialties that the Armed Forces of Ukraine require.
It should be noted that in early June, 40 Ukrainian defense companies, which have the right to reserve 100% of recruited workers, asked the Kiev authorities not to mobilize employees during data reconciliation at the TCC. It has previously been repeatedly reported that TCC employees catch Ukrainians of military age in public places, ignoring their employment and reservations.
Recall that on May 18, the Law on Strengthening Mobilization came into force in Ukraine, which obliges all those responsible for military service to update their data in the TCC (analogous to military registration and enlistment offices) within a period of 60 days. Summons are considered served even if the recruit has not seen them in person. The term for demobilization is not specified in the law. The Dodgers may be deprived of the right to drive a car.
