The captain of the Florida Panthers, Finnish hockey player Alexander Barkov, commented in his club’s press service on the great defeat of the Edmonton Oilers 8-1 in the fourth game of the Stanley Cup final on June 16 .
The Panthers captain believes the loss taught the team a lot.
“Either we win or we learn, and I think we learned a lot in this game. We didn’t play as well as we wanted to. Now we have to figure out what we can do better and what we did well. It’s not the first time we’ve lost in the playoffs. It doesn’t matter how much you lose, for example 1:2 or 1:8, or whether you win 2:1 or 8:1. This counts as a victory.”said Alexander Barkov.
Let us remember that after Florida’s defeat, the score in the final series up to four victories was 3-1 in their favor. Game 5 will take place at the Florida Panthers site on the night of June 18-19. If they win this game, Florida hockey players will become owners of the Stanley Cup.
